They do not speak or understand simple English at all, so got problem in communicating with them. That is very frustrating.We have booked transport to Hotel in advance, but hotel transport did not turn up at the airport to pick us up, even though we have already given our arrival time to them and we waited for almost one hour for the transport to arrive. We stayed in a Superior Room which was clean and nicely furnished (simple & tasteful). Bathrooms were clean with spacious shower cubicles. The cable TV, mini-bar and free wi-fi all added to the relaxing feel. Would ve been great if rooms had its own tea/coffee facilities. Architecture and decor of hotel lobby & lounge is lovely - traditional Thai/colonial. The restaurant, The Chalatat, however could do with a bit of a revamp, i.e chairs would benefit from a reupholster, table mats & centrepieces should be replaced and stage area could do with a revamp as well. Other than that, the restaurant has a nice feel to it and food, we thought, was okay - not too much variety though. Had just one meal there and two breakfasts. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing, pleasant stay in Songkhla. It s positoned right across the street from beautiful Samila beach - long stretches of white sand and beautiful warm Gulf waters.
